Local Fall Events for Your Consideration and Enjoyment
There will be a diversity of great activities this fall for all tastes and age groups in our beautiful corner of southwest Florida. Here’s just a small sampling of entertainment options during the autumn months in Naples, Marco Island, and Fort Myers.

The season’s final SummerJazz concert on The Gulf will happen on September 14th, featuring Ari and the Alibis. The 5-piece band has received numerous accolades, including a nomination for “Best Local Band.” For more info visit: here

The annual “Blessing of the Stone Crab Fleet” is planned for Saturday, September 28 from 10: 00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Rod and Gun Club in Everglades City.

Also, on September 28 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve will celebrate National Estuaries Day with a free day of activities at the Rookery Bay Learning Center. This wonderful free event includes staff narrated boat tours, introductory 30-minute kayaking trips, stand-up paddle boat demos, live animal presentations, and crafts.

On October 12 – 13, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Naples will host the 2019 Formula 2 Powerboat World Championships at Sugden Park. This event is also free to the public.

Take a Fall Walk at the Naples Botanical Garden. From October 17th to the 31st take an evening stroll between 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and enjoy live music, lights, various activities including a pumpkin patch – all under the stars!

The 5th annual Naples Foodie Camp will occur from October 21st to the 30th. This chef-led fundraiser will feature local restaurateurs. The chefs will offer classes, teaching their techniques and recipes. The proceeds will benefit the culinary program at the Saint Mathews House and the Hospitality School at Florida Gulf Coast University. For participating restaurants: see here.

The Naples International Film Festival will occur from October 24th – the 27th.

Every October (this year from the 18th to the 20th and the 25th to the 27th), the German American Social Club sponsors the annual Octoberfest in Cape Coral. This grand event will feature 3 stages for entertainment and 2 dance floors. Also, enjoy specialty foods, plenty of beverages, handmade crafts, and a carnival area for the kids.

Enjoy the Halloween Carnival at Boca Grande, the weekend before Halloween. There will be a costume parade, games, inflatable slides, an obstacle course, and snacks. More info, see: here.

From October 6th to 28th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, enjoy the annual Southern Fresh Farms Festival in Fort Myers. The festival features vendors, southern food, a petting zoo, and hayrides (even haunted hayrides.) Admission is free. Details here.
