New Dining Options Coming to Bonita Springs and Estero
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, and children of all ages, moisten up those taste buds because people living near Estero and Bonita Springs will soon have many more restaurants to choose from, mostly of the casual, down home style, from ethnic to good old Americana. Let’s check some of them out (most are not open yet, but will be soon).
- Lake Park Diner Bonita Beach is currently under construction. The brand is known for its health consciousness. Its servings will never include animals given steroids, antibiotics, hormones, or genetically modified food. The venue will open in May of this year (there is also a branch in Naples, but this one will be much larger). There will be more seating and parking, a dedicated take-out area, an outdoor seating option, and a separate outdoor covered bar. The entrees will include small plates, grass fed burgers, salads, sandwiches, miso salmon. Beverages will include cocktails, milkshakes, beer, and wine.
- Also, in Bonita, some of the most anticipated eateries are coming to the Causeway Commerce Park. And the Rooftop at Riverside food truck park is under construction presently.
- The Causeway is planning to launch in late March. Co-founder Ken Delaney said, “This food hall will have a full bar We’re in the final phases of buildout now and really excited to show off what we’re doing. The premise of our place is a food hall where we will be introducing four new concepts to Bonita with a huge variety of foods from around the world along with a full bar, indoor and outdoor seating, live music and Sunday brunches.”
Food offerings will include Orzo, Italian favorites, a deli bar, salads, charcuterie boards, shepherd’s pie, curry dishes, and much more.
- Opening nearby will be another new brewery along Old 41. Chubby Mermaid Brewery is a startup microbrewery (a chubby mermaid is another name for the manatee, which will be the brewery’s logo).
- Three more eateries soon will join the redeveloped property of Entrada, where The Bohemian Restaurant, Napoli on the Bay Pizzeria and the Rabbit Hole Kava Bar all opened last year. Look for Waffle Monkey, Wolfmoon Bakery and The Boba Shop to finally open this spring on the southern end of Entrada nearest Bonita Beach Road. The Waffle Monkey breakfast-lunch concept will offer conventional waffles as well as waffles replacing bread for waffle sandwiches and waffle burgers. The Wolfmoon bakery will specialize in a variety of French croissants. The establishment will also serve quiche, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Opening is scheduled for May.
- Also in Entrada, The Boba Shop is shooting to open as early as March 1. The focus here will be bubble tea. They look forward to serving their popular milk and tea drinks in their first local mom-and-pop shop.
- A new Cheesecake Factory is coming to Coconut Point. An opening date is not available yet.
- Also at Coconut Point, Juice Society is making a big leap this year from its tiny kiosk near the regional malls former cinema to the larger inline space next to Starbucks that recently was vacated by Vampire Penguin Shaved Snow & Desserts. Until this juiceries new superfood café launches this summer, it will continue to operate its kiosk to provide cold-pressed organic juices, smoothies and açaí and pitaya bowls.
