Pelican Landing is a 2,365 acre gated community in beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida. This community started in 1985 with the creation of Pelican’s Nest Golf Club, designed by Tom Fazio, and grew in popularity. Pelican Landing officially became a new residential community in 1989 and the first residents moved into the community in 1990.
Pelican Landing offers many amenities, such as bocce, tennis, sailing, beach, a Fitness Center, and a Community Center. The 14,900 square foot Community Center has meeting rooms, the association office, a Fitness Center and Bocce courts.
The 3,200 square foot, state of the art Fitness Center at Pelican Landings’ community center has cardiovascular and resistance equipment. The 34 acre gulf island Beach Park is a Pelican Landing Community Association amenity. This park is located at the northern end of Big Hickory Island and is only accessible by Pelican Landing’s boat shuttles from Coconut Point Marina. The facilities include restrooms, showers, a nature library, two beach bocce courts, two open air picnic pavilions, a large screened picnic pavilion with deck, elevated beach house with open decks, and a minimum supply of beach chairs and umbrellas.
Pelican Landing volunteers built and has maintained a beautiful Butterfly Garden and the Spring Creek Nature Park. This park is a unique combination of different eco zones, mangroves, meadows and a pine stand. This is a wonderful amenity that provides positive publicity for Pelican Landing via articles and photos in local newspapers.
Another amenity at Pelican Landing is the Canoe and Kayak Park. The Association maintains the canoes and kayaks for the residents to use. The Canoe Park has a launch facility and a scenic boardwalk. There are many ways to experience this amenity, from doing your own thing to scheduled group paddles.
Pelican Landing offers a Sailing Center with a fleet of Sunfish boats. Residents must qualify, or demonstrate sailing competence) before being able to check out one of these boats, but lessons and qualification sessions are available.
The Tennis Center is another wonderful Pelican Landing amenity. There are twelve state of the art tennis courts available to residents seven days a week. This center is managed by a highly experienced tennis professional and there are group or private lessons available, as well as tournaments, tennis socials and league play.
The guarded, gated community of Pelican Landing is located in tropical Bonita Springs. Encompassing 2,400 acres of land the community includes condos and single-family homes of a selection of design layouts and lots.
