Twin Eagles is the only private golf club in Florida with courses designed by golf legends Jack Nicklaus, his son Jack Nicklaus II, renowned course architect Steve Smyers and design associate Patrick Andrews. The Talon course has hosted the ACE Group Classic for five years and was designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son. Regarded as one of the finest courses in Florida, the par 72 design is classic with 7193 yards of length from the longest tees, tough approach shots, towering oaks, deep pot bunkers, and natural cypress hammocks. The Eagle course has a classic historical design, a par 71 course with a thumbprint green, a rectangular green, a few unique optical challenges, and many thought provoking playing angles. The Eagle was designed by Steve Smyers and Patrick Andrews. The Golf Academy at Twin Eagles features Dr Jim “Doc” Suttie; one of the worlds’s best known and most respected golf instructors. His students include many of golf’s top professional and amateur stars, but he still works with anyone who would like to come to his lesson tees at The Club at Twin Eagles in Naples, Florida in the winter.
Twin Eagles was awarded top honors in its category from the Council for Sustainable Florida. The Sustainable Florida awards recognize efforts to protect and restore Florida’s natural resources. Judges cited the community’s certification as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary, partnerships with environmental groups and ongoing commitment to nature as key factors in their decision.
Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II and Gary Player took on the challenge of massaging part of 1,100 untouched acres of preserves and lakes and creating two championship 18-hole courses at TwinEagles. An eagle is a golf hole played with two strokes under par or one of the majestic birds found in Naples. The Estates at TwinEagles, the community's first phase, includes one-half to two-acre homesites. The second phase, Grand Arbors, has 648 coach homes, villas and single-family homes. In addition to the two golf courses, amenities include lighted Har-Tru tennis courts and a clubhouse that features casual and fine dining, a fitness center and golf shop.
